Help!!! Roaches in the Summer time?

Hello..I live in Los Angeles, CA and I have roaches in the summer time. It's the big roach. Yuck!!! I found 3 within the last month. One in the kitchen, one in the bathroom and 1 in the hallway. I do not have a messy or dirty house however it is a old house. What can I do to prevent it? Also, this seems to happen during the summertime..someone help me.. It's disgusting and embarrassing.

Pregnant with Mirena IUD?

Ive had the Mirena IUD for 8 months now, & a regular period every month since then. Except this month of June. No period, but slight cramping & lower back aches, & some headaches along with slight nausea. I know that its very unlikely that Im pregnant, but Im still concerned seeing as I havent been able to locate my IUD threads! I took 2 hpt, both came out negative. Something just doesnt feel right! Is this normal to just stop having a period, & acquire these symptoms? Or is there a possibility I can be pregnant?

Are Madagascar hissing roaches good pets( owners plz )?

We use to sell them actually. We sold a lot of them as pets for people and schools! They are escape artists so you do have to keep a tight lid on them but as for a pet they are really neat. They get really really big and they hiss when you touch them, which makes them cool to a lot of people. They take a long time to grow and they are slow with having babies, but if you take care of it, it will live a long time and can be a really neat pet.

I kept reasoning with myself saying I’ll get it out when I get back home, next I said I’ll get it in a minute, ten eventually I got a grocery bag, sock, and a knife in one hand just to get it out of my shower…once I did that I felt great and took a shower, I felt like going to bed so I layed down and had a dream about cockroaches all over me so I woke up sweating badly!!! I looked in my shower and bam another (mother f**kin) one is inside, I fall into temporary insanity and killed it badly with hot water, wash clothes, a bag, and a knife…now I’m up staring around my room for more of them, and anytime that I move it feel one of them one my head, leg, and etc… This is crazy I have a very serious phobia for roaches!!! What should I do??? Also is there anybody else out there like me??? I feel pathetic because I’m a quaterback for varsity football in high school, and I’m 16 going on 17!!!! I wrote a question on here before because I had really bad lower back pain so severe it hurt to move or walk and advil/tylenol wasn't working. The next morning it dissapeared completely. I am good at hiding my feelings and the pain I feel, it's something I have always been good at as I managed keeping anorexia hidden from the age of 15-18 but then I fainted at college and ended up in the hospital due to dehydration and malnutrition, and my class found out, all this made me do was hide it even more. I became sneaky. I feel like I am trapped as I sometimes want help but other times I enjoy the feeling of being hungry and that I am so good at hiding it. I had a argument with my parents yesterday because they hid the scales. I was also in hospital in march as I was having chest pains and again I was taken to hospital by ambulance from college. I get bad headaches and I faint. I feel really lonely and trapped aswell as fat! What should I do? I just need some guidance :) i also can't stop crying every night :/ thanks

Im 17 going on 18 soon and its been happening since last year i get frequent headaches one side of my head would throb ot both sides and times i would randomly be nauseated. I received lab results back, I go once a year to get my labs done because I am anemic and I try to monitor that yearly. Anyway, I am not a doctor and I know google isn't either, however, I am hoping someone in the Yahoo Answers community can help me out. I feel that I have hypothyroidism. I can't lose weight no matter what I do, I am always cold, I have cramps and aches all over my body (although they aren't so bad I can't handle it), I get headaches, my hair seems to be falling out more, my skin is dry no matter how many bottles of lotion I rub on it and I have irregular periods. I know other things can be causing these symptoms as well but my lab results show my TSH level is 2.42 and my T4 free is 1.03. I also know that the range of "normal" has changed from .5 to 5.0 to now .3 to 3.0 for the TSH level. As I said I am not a doctor and I don't pretend to be one which is why I am asking all you intelligent people. Car accident with a police?

So my husband had a car accident with a police officer.... The cop ran a red light with out having his siren on and even though both my husband and the cop tried breaking it was too late... My husband's car got pretty damaged no one was injured or taken to the hospital. They didn't give my husband a citation because it wasn't his fault all they gave him was a case number to give to his insurance and they let him go. Our insurance is having to cover the damage and we are having to pay the deductible from our pocket. Also after that day he has had really bad headaches so i tried scheduling him an appointment to see a dr but they asked me if he had been in any accident so i said yes and then they told me that they couldn't see him because they might need papers signed by a lawyer.... so my question : should we hire a lawyer or would we be wasting our time? has anyone been through something similar?

How do I keep roaches from returning with me from Peurto Rico?

I am in Puerto for a summer internship. The apt. I am staying in has roaches. I have killed most of them by now but am concerned about bringing eggs home in my luggage. I plan to stop at a laundromat on my way home from the airport and wash everything in hot with bleach, have a change of clothes ready. What I am concerned about most is eggs on my luggage or in my books, backpack, ipod, alarm clock etc. Any advice on a product and/or procedure to treat them? So last weekend like the 18th I had dry throat I do take martial arts so I yell a lot. Anyone taken Ortho Cyclen before?

I was on ortho tri cyclen lo for a month due to my period not stopping and i noticed on the 3rd week that I started feeling even more tired, bad headaches, and cramping. Oh and my period still didnt stop. So I went back to the clinic and they changed my pill to Ortho Cyclen. I've only been on this one 2 days but I was wondering how long can it take for my period to finally stop. Ive had it for a 6 weeks already and doesnt seem to go away. Friends and cockroaches?

Please give me etiquette advice on how to tell a close friend that I don't feel comfortable with her coming over my place because she is packing cockroaches in her belongings. I didnt know that there was a code efforcement that could make the rental company clean the house from the roaches. I hit the front of my head above my forehead 5 minutes ago on a wooden surface (window sill) moderately hard and saw the color blue for a split second before it went away. I have an extremely mild headache now. Please note: I did not lose consciousness, I am not vomiting or seeing colors anymore, no stroke symptoms, no altered mental state, etc. I do have a mild headache however, and at one point some mild pain behind my left eye, but no otrher symptoms. I am not dizzy and can walk fine. What concerned me was the brief flash of blue. Should i go to the doctors?

I have a 10 year old daughter, my daughter was not being raised with me but with her mother, We had a verbal agreement and Ill visit her when she allowed me too but it would always be outside the home theyll never allow me to go inside the home and my ex always had to be their when I saw her, so heres the thing two months ago we took her to a fair and she needed to go use the restroom (my kid) i took her she started telling me something that I couldnt believe she said the house is so dirty they never vacuum, rats and roaches are inside the home, their is no space since they made the living room into two bedrooms, their is dirty clothes, dirty dishes, trash all over d home, the food gets rotten in the refrigerator, they have animals inside and outside, the walls have spiderwebs and mold,and lots of other stuff. I was so mad when she told me all this that monday I went to file for child custody Because I was not aware of this until that day when she told me everything, I called child services and they went I received a call from a juvenile detective stating to please call him back asap I did but he was not in, does anyone have any idea what might of happen I was told by one of the family members child services was their last week.

About a week ago i was in the shower and saw a shadow of a bug on the shower curtain. turns out it was a cockroach. ive been looking up pictures of the different kinds and i believe it's an oriental. its brown and the wings are shiny. i also noticed some sort of bug on the kitchen floor that i have never seen before. the only way i can describe it is that the body looks like a spider and the top part resembles a crab. could these be baby roaches? it's freaking me out because i found another one of these bugs in my kittens' litter box. i also found a roach in the litter box a few days ago. we got the kittens about a week ago, when i first discovered the roaches. is there any way the kittens we got could have carried baby roaches into my house on them? we got the kittens from a dirty house and we're trying to rid them of fleas. our house however is very clean which is why i'm so frustrated with this recent bug problem. i know roaches do not need a dirty place in order to live. also, last winter i found the same kind of roach crawling on my kitchen wall. after we killed it, we did not see anymore until this time around. any information is helpful, thank you.

What is the best way to remove car paint oxidation?

I own a black eclipse which the paint has oxidized badly. When I first got it I had a sponge that took it off really easy but whenever it rains it comes back. I since then threw away the cheapo sponges thinking the local dollar general would still carry them. Nope. Iv'e since tried 2 other sponges a scrubbing pad which worked excellent but scratched the paint very easily and another that hardly had any effect. Any recomendations out there for sponges or products? Iv'e tried Nu-Finsh and didn't have good results. And unfortunately someone broke into my garage and stole my buffer. Thanks

Why is my period 9 day late? 15 years old.?

My husband and I lived with his family for awhile before we got our own place (thank God). His family seemed to think that my husband was their property. And they expected me to clean up everyone's mess. Its like they wanted me to be the slave of the house. Not only that but they were very racist and kept telling my husband to leave me for an Hispanic women because they 'take care' of their men. They don't seem to like it when you tell them no because after that they started taking it out on my husband and trying to make him feel bad and put him against me. I began taking Macrobid for a bladder infection last Thursday and later Friday evening my skin began to hurt all over and I got the chills, along with fever. As of today it has been a week; the fever did seem to go away yesterday after taking extra strength tylenol around the clock. I remember that after skipping a night of sleep it tends to help making up by sleeping in for a few days or taking naps. As for the beatle promblem, you should get your parent/ guardian/ older sibling/ whoever you are living with help you drive it out the house. If you have a window in your room, you can try opening it and getting it out the house instead of killing the beatle and by the way beatles can't give you infections. Almost 32 weeks pregnant and in pain?

I will be 32 weeks on Saturday. I have had an awful headache all day, plus I have had some abdominal discomfort. I have had a burning tongue, and mouth bumps under my tongue, along my gums, and feels like in my throat as well for almost 2 weeks. I recently had oral given and received (about 3 weeks ago) with a new partner and now I'm terrified I have something. Dizziness when concentrating?

Ok, my head is spinning! I've been getting this on of for the past few months and it's driving me crazy! I can be watching TV, when suddenly everything starts moving/shaking! The only way to stop it (temporarily) is to look around the room (keep moving my eyes), but as soon as i stop and look at one spot again, everything moves! I'm not tired or stressed, I'm hydrated and I haven't had a lot of caffeine etc... I also don't wear glasses or contacts (If that is relivant) I just don't understand why it's happening? Cockroach Infestation in Mac Air?

I just bought this MacBook Air, It doesn't have a optical drive built in and am not looking to buy the apple mainly for the price ($79.99). But any whom my co-worker said that I could borrow his, he lent me a LG Multi super drive, or something. But It didn't even work, so I set aside not next to my computer but right on top of my computer bag, I was just looking at it and noticed something weird on the crew holes, so I investigated further, and it was a dead roach, It must have been old because it was dried out and flaky, so of course I began to over obsess over my brand new mac air. So then I went to check the USB cords on the LG drive itself and noticed there was something brownish in it, i moved it around with a toothpick and I'm not sure what it was but it was soft. I then immediately checked my USB ports and there was no residue or anything that made me think that there is a problem. But know I'm paranoid that there are roaches growing in my mac, and feel like any day now my computer is going to just die, can anyone help me? Summer is here! And these critters are coming out. Killed a bunch and they still keep coming. Only at night though so they get me off guard. I don't have any professional type of insect killer. For around 5 years now i have suffered with what i call 'eye ache' and headaches daily. I have had checks for sinusitis and a brain scan but nothing has come up. I have been put on various medications to try and treat it but nothing seems to work. I used to suffer from severe migranes when i was around 13 but they have dissappeared now. Is it safe to use baking soda to kill possible roaches/any bug that may be in kid's books?

I am moving out of a roach infested house in two days- I have not seen ANY roaches on or near the books, but the bookshelf is right next to the fridge, so I'm kind of paranoid they might have gotten into mine and my kid's books. I've always had stomach problems and nausea since I was little, but I'm 14 now and so much more is going on. I know how it feels to be worried about these things. But its ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry. You may need to just take a day to lay in the bath, cool down, relax, just lay in the bed, no bright lights or anything. It could be something like vertigo. But, I'm not a doctor, so i dont really know. If by any chance it is a tumor..the sooner your catch it, the easier it is to cure. So the longer you wait or put it off, its going to become more difficult to fix. But, I do really suggest that you see a doctor.

Ok, so i was playing my Xbox360, when i thought i seen something move on the wall to the left side of me. i then realized that it is a black spot on that wall. but when i looked again, an insect was crawling up the wall slowly. I normally see a few centipedes every now and then, but this bug looked different. I jumped up and turned on the lights, grabbed my house shoe, and came in close on the bug. when i got a close look, it started to crawl back to the floor. before it hit the floor i SMASHED it with my house shoe. I looked at the bottom of the house shoe, now i could tell what a centipede looks like, but this was no centipede. This bug was darkish brown with only a couple of legs. I wiped it off my house shoe, and said to my self, "I hope we don't have roaches" ever sense then i've been really really paranoid because i never seen a roach before. Headache on the front, left side of my head.?

If you put your wrist on your left eyebrow, where your palm is, is where my head hurts. It hurts especially when I stand up. When i`m still the pain comes and goes but its not too severe as much as when i stand up. Ive been experiencing allergies for the first time ever and my nostrils are 60-70% blocked. Is this just a sinus headahce, or worse?

I have had a burning tongue, and mouth bumps under my tongue, along my gums, and feels like in my throat as well for almost 2 weeks. Also, my mouth has a weird taste, kind of like chicken broth or something as weird as that sounds when I wake up in the morning. I recently had oral given and received (about 3 weeks ago) with a new partner and now I'm terrified I have something. I've also had headaches, a vaginal yeast infection (which i've treated already) and still some general discomfort down there, but as far as I can tell no sores or blisters in the genital area SO FAR. I feel like the timing is too much of a coincidence for it to be something else other than an STD, but i'm just praying its nothing incurable like herpes or anything. My tongue stopped burning after a few days but is still a lil sensitive and mainly the thing worrying me is these bumps that seem to keep spreading in my mouth. They don't seem to hurt except w/e is in near my throat near the back of my tongue, but I can't see if that's bumps or what. Is it possible for herpes to hurt your tongue but the actual bumps not hurt?? Sometimes I didn't even notice the burning tongue as much when I wasn't thinking about it. I know I need to go to the doctor, but I can't get an appt til next month. I did get tested 2 weeks ago already (a week after) and everything came out negative, but that was only a week after so I know it could have been false negatives. I didn't get tested for herpes, but will be sure to do so when I go back to the doc. I also feel I should note that as far as I can tell he did not have any open lesions or sores anywhere on his lips or genitals, and he says he is clean but idk bc I found out afterwards he has had several partners. I also know that you can spread herpes without a visual outbreak, but that's also confusing bc some ppl say its possible, and some ppl say there has to be an actual visible outbreak. Please help, i'm freaking out and hoping that whatever it is, its curable!!!

So ive been waiting to get my period. Ive had my normal pms, mood swings, feeling achy, headache and super sore boobs.So today i wake up expecting my period and all i see when i wipe is a teeyn tiny smudge of light light red so i go ok it must be coming then. So the next day i get up expecting it because my boobs are no longer sore and the soreness usually goes away as soon as my period comes but nothing! no blood at all. about and hour later i go use the bathroom i wipe and out come dark dark brown looking discharge and thats it. i wipe again and im clean. whats going on? is that normal?? im not prgenant that would be impossible.

Hallucinations? Help!?

Okay so I'm thirteen and I think I'm hallucinating but I just want a sure answer. I've been seeing a lot of “roaches” lately, even white (Albino) giant ones I've never seen before. I've also been hearing things, not voices or anything haunted just like buzzes from a bee or fly going an inch apart from ear but them not being there. Last night, I also saw a shadow, just a millisecond bring there but it kind of freaked me out. Am I hallucinating and if I am what do I do? Thank you

Why do I have a bad headache after day surgery?

Yesterday, I had a G-tube (entristar feeding tube button in my stomach) removed. They put a lot of freezing in the area around the button and after they took it out I felt really dizzy and faint. They put some stitches in to hold the hole together since I have had it for 13 years. Now, I blame the dizzy faint feeling on my body absorbing some of the freezing. But, that night, and the next day (which is today) I have had a headache in the front part of my head. Do you think that could have something to do with the freezing? Or something else from the day surgery? Or perhaps it isn't related at all?

I had my wisdom teeth out last Thursday, and took prednisone for five days as I was instructed to do. Yesterday was the first full day that I didn't take any, and as the day went on I started to feel ill- lightheaded, nauseous, headache. I still feel slightly the same today. How long should it normally take for these effects to taper off given that I've been taking the prednisone for such a short time?

Can windshield washer fluid harm car paint?

In this case, chlorine got oxidized and reduced. If you look at HClO, chlorine is now in a +1 oxidation state and in HCl it is in a -1 oxidation state. I hope this helps!

Can i sue my landlord for roaches in my apt?

Okay. So I moved in my apt 2 months ago. I was desperate for finding a new apt so the manager of my apt building accepted my application and I moved in my apt right away. Turns out the same night when I moved in I noticed 3 roaches in the kitchen, I didn't mind so the next day I told the manager about it and they put a smog roaches spray in the kitchen which worked for like 1 day. Then I noticed more roaches when I woke up at night to get water. They were everywhere in the floor!!! I had raid so I killed 23!!! I told the manager and she said I need to buy a smogger. I'm a clean person and since I know I have this problem in my apartment I mop the floor with clorox before I go to sleep and never leave dishes outside and make sure there's no trade of food anywhere, but regardless of how clean and careful I am they don't go away. So all the manager says is buy more sprays! What can I do? They don't see to care! Please help :( I also have two kids living with me and today they were eating on the kitchen table and 4 big rounded roaches appeared put of nowhere and one got on my daughter's plate. It's si disgusting.
